This is a senior role at TBI – Senior Manager Client Services – building relationships with and leading the delivery of marketing projects to a wide range of publishers and societies across the world. Lynne is a hugely experienced senior marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in publishing. She has also worked for the education division of IBM, and as a consultant for the Learning Schools Programme developed by RM plc.
Since joining TBI in 2015 she has overseen the expansion of TBI’s strategic marketing and business development services and led our consulting projects worldwide.
Lynne established herself as a leader in society publishing, and strategic marketing at Wiley, and successfully built high level internal and external partnerships with academics, and commercial bodies both locally and internationally. She is a regular speaker at science and industry events, on a range of topics – from publishing strategy to digital marketing, to membership engagement.
Senior Consultant – Product Development and Community Engagement
Tracy has been a consultant since 2004 – working with societies, publishers, and intermediaries on a wide range of projects including product development, strategic marketing, and business development. She is a researcher and co-author for the How Readers Discover Content reports which were published every 3 years from 2005-2021. She has worked in research communications since 1997, when she joined CatchWord as Marketing Manager, and later worked at CABI as head of marketing and product development. Tracy is an excellent facilitator and an experienced conference speaker and chair.
Senior Manager – Strategy and Communications
Kelly has worked in marketing and publishing for nearly 20 years and specialises in strategy, communications, brand engagement, and evidence-based decision making: across digital, TV, film, and radio.
Kelly joined TBI Communications from Oxford University Press, where she led the Humanities, Social Science and Law Journals Product Marketing team to drive growth through diverse marketing strategies. She also managed society partner relationships and the marketing programme for several leading society journals. Previously, Kelly managed international marketing programmes for both the commercial arm of the University of Oxford and a TV production company.
Kelly is an ALPSP tutor for ‘Effective Social Media for Scholarly Publishers’ and is CIM qualified.
Mithu is a strategic content marketing expert with a passion for business storytelling. She started her marketing career in 2004 at Oxford University Press, before setting up and leading the first PR team at Sage Publishing. At Springer Nature she was responsible for the development and implementation of global marketing strategies for eight years, with a significant focus on open research and open access initiatives including transformative agreements, transformative journals, and the implementation of Nature Portfolio’s OA options. She has led, authored, or co-written more than 15 white papers and industry research reports, as well as speaking on these topics and delivering workshops at international conferences and academic institutions.
Senior Marketing Executive
Rowan joined TBI Communications in 2018 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a 1st class honours degree in Business and Marketing Management. She has developed extensive market research experience, working with clients on projects to understand researcher attitudes towards industrywide initiatives; to explore member needs and preferences; and to provide insight into how publications are used by various stakeholder groups. Rowan also manages digital marketing including reporting with Google Analytics, and events promotion for publishers and societies.
Senior Digital Marketing Executive
Amelia specialises in digital marketing; with expertise in email, paid and organic advertising, social media, and HubSpot services. Amelia’s previous experience includes project management and marketing of life science events that focused on drug discovery, genomic sequencing, agriculture, and health technology. Amelia holds a 1st class honours degree in Marketing and a Digital Marketing Professional Certificate.
Amber graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Photography from Falmouth University. She has broad experience across digital marketing including email, organic and paid social, design, and paid search advertising. Previously, she was a key member of the marketing team behind the Cornwall Film Festival.
